In 2016, Jose Borghi was named the co-CEO of the realigned Mullen Lowe Brazil as the latest step taken in a career that has taken him from beginning his career as a teenager to heading one of the best known advertising agencies in Brazil. Borghi was not always sure of his career trajectory and as a teenager was assisted by his sister, who took him to an exhibition of award winning advertisements in a bid to help him find an industry Borghi could enjoy; unknowingly, Jose Borghi’s sister had set her brother on a career path that would make him known in the global and Brazilian advertising industry.
After working at a number of the best known ad agencies in Brazil, Jose Borghi decided to embark on a new venture that would challenge him more than any other aspect of his career to date. The Mullen Lowe ad agency was originally the BorghiErh agency that was founded by Borghi and his colleague Erh Ray; housed in the back yard of Ray’s home the ad agency was originally only staffed by the two founders who acted as members of every department that would be found in larger agencies.
Although he has achieved success as the founder and leader of the Mullen Lowe ad agency, Jose Borghi has also found success on his own terms as an advertising executive who has won many different awards across the planet. Over the course of a career that only began in 1989 Jose has won 15 Cannes Golden Lion awards, 11 awards from the New York Film Festival and seven awards from the London Film Festival; these are just a few of the awards won by Jose Borghi who is looking to continue to find success across the globe as an advertising and communications specialist.
